The 2024 Ford Ranger is kicking off a new generation of this popular truck. With more options than ever, it is easy to find a Ranger that can help you get more done in Elba.
For the standard engine, Ford gives the 2024 Ranger a turbo 2.3L four-cylinder engine that will generate 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. You can also choose the new turbocharged 2.7L V6 that makes 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Both of these hearty engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Rear-wheel drive is standard for the new Ranger, but the Jim Cook Ford team is happy to help you bring home a four-wheel-drive version if you prefer. With either engine, the maximum towing capacity of a properly equipped 2024 Ranger is 7,500 pounds. This year, a performance-oriented Ranger Raptor trim level is debuting with a twin-turbo 3.0L engine capable of making 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.
